Per Ola Kristensson, Linköping University, has written a doctoral thesis, Discrete and Continuous Shape Writing for Text Entry and Control, in which new techniques with pen and touch-screen on mobile phones can make text writing a lot faster. The solution spells “shape writing”, where motion patterns in the writing are recognized.
