IBM looks for LT students
The IBM Development Center Boeblingen/Germany is
looking for students supporting us in the field of text-to-speech synthesis,
speech recognition and dialog application design. The applicant should
ideally be a native speaker of an European language (e.g.
Swedish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Polish,
Russian, or other)
Currently we are
especially looking for native speakers of Swedish for an internship
lasting between 3 and 6 months starting as soon as possible.
Tasks
- Get Acquainted with IBM speech processing
technologies and dialog management methodologies
- Contribute to the
development of our multilingual text-to-speech system: text analysis,
data-driven linguistic methods, voice building, etc.
- Contribute to
application development for human machine dialog systems and large vocabulary
transcription
Skills
- Study Computational Linguistics, Linguistics,
Computer Science, or related studies
- Knowledge in some of the following
programming languages: Java, C/C++, voiceXML, perl would be a plus
- At least
passed first year at university
- Interest in language and speech processing,
human-machine-dialog
